Oven baked Chicken w/ Veges & Potatoes
Friday, July 23, 2010alright, so it's sorta healthy!! lol.. except for the butter part.
Ingredients:
Chicken Breast
Long Grain brown rice
Asparagus
Potatoes
Broccoli
Onions
Olive oil
Salt & Pepper
Garlic Powder
Cayenne Red pepper
Butter
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
lol old school oven..
PREP the rice.
I added 2 cups of brown rice.
Rinse rice well. I rinsed it about 3 times
Add water to the 3rd line
Let that cook in the rice cooker
Prep Veges. Wash em well and break of the hard stems of asparagus
Cut potato
Do the same for asparagus
Cut onion
Put all in a tray
Drizzle a bit of olive oil into the mix
Add some salt and pepper
Prep your chicken. Wash your chicken well!! Then pat it down with some napkins and SEASON! Make sure to wash your hands well after handling meat! :D
Place chicken in tray on top of the veges
Add butter on top, this is optional..
Throw it in the oven.. Put timer on for 35 mins, or until the chicken is well cooked! Make sure not pink is shown.
After that's in the oven.. CLEAN YOUR SURROUNDINGS! ahh so refreshing.. I'm pretty anal about cleaning up and being clean when I cook.
Brown rice is done
Old stove.. Only two of em work.. lol
Voila! the finished product!
I slit the chicken open to see if there were any redness or pink
Fist full of rice.. is my proportion size okay? or is that too large? lol
